Torkham Customs foils bid to smuggle fertiliser to Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate, Peshawar has foiled a bid to smuggle DAP fertiliser to Afghanistan in guise of white flour and seized 10,700 bags of fertiliser along with offender vehicles worth Rs 90 million in Torkham.

According to the details, Torkham Customs Station staff intercepted seven trailers heading to Afghanistan at Pak-Afghan border for physical examination. The official found that fertiliser were being tried to smuggle in guise of white flour.
