Traders’ associations hail tax amnesty scheme

LAHORE: All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran (APAT), Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA), Punjab Investment Board, Lahore Traders Alliance (PIBLTA), Pakistan Goods Transport Association, Pakistan Publishers Association and PIAF widely hailed tax amnesty scheme announced by the prime minister.

Talking to Customs Today, Secretary General of All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran Naeem Mir, Chairman of Punjab Investment and Trader Alliance Abdul Basit, President of Lahore Traders Alliance Safder Butt, Secretary General of Pakistan Goods Transport Association Nabeel Mehmood, Chairman of PIAF Irfan Iqbal Shiekh, leader of Pakistan Publishers Association Abu Zar and Asim Raza of the Pakistan Flour Mills Association said that tax amnesty scheme announced by the government will put a positive impact on economy of the country.

They said that through this scheme confidence will enhance between government and traders community. They said that tax amnesty scheme must be simple and easier so traders can avail this facility without any trouble. They further urged government to resolve the issue of withholding tax.
