Turkish envoy, PBIT agree to enhance trade ties

LAHORE: Ambassador of Turkey to Pakistan Sadik Babur Girgin visited the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) on Friday.

Both sides agreed to work in complete coordination to enhance trade and other beneficial projects in various fields, including education and agriculture, especially food processing and preservation.

Girgin was received by PBIT Chairman Abdul Basit, CEO Muhammad Ilyas Ghauri, Director General Projects and Policy Lubna Pathan and Head of Turkey Cell Ambassador (r) Muhammad Haroon Shaukat.

A detailed discussion was held between the ambassador and the PBIT team covering full range of cooperation between the two countries, including existing as well as potentially new projects. The meeting concluded on a positive note with an exchange of souvenirs.
