The exhibition was an interactive platform for women that highlighted the progressive image of society. The idea behind the expo was to develop women’s interactive platform to integrate efforts of all concerned quarters that were working for women development and empowerment.

This interactive platform helped in improving collaboration and bridged gap amongst the government, non-government and corporate sectors.

More than 150 stalls have been allocated for the exhibitors to display garments, handicrafts, homes decor, Non-governmental Organizations’ stuff, Food Street, fun area for kids and much more. A number of conferences, competitions and activities were also arranged during the exhibition including talent hunt, cooking, beauty workshops and makeovers.

At the occasion President IWCCI, Zakia Hashmi, former Presidents Samina Fazil and Farida Rashid said that our objective is to empower women and we want that women’s rights must be respected and protected everywhere.

“We are aware that the full empowerment of women is still a distant call, therefore, we remain strongly committed to maintain our steady level of efforts to attain the goal”, they said.  They also demanded of the government to establish an expo centre in Islamabad.
