Two offending vehicles & different smuggling items taken into possession by Islamabad ASO

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Islamabad impounded various types of smuggling goods and two offending vehicles (Vehicles used for carrying smuggling goods) worth Rs7.511million from 12th of August to 18th of August Financial Year FY2017-18.

According to details given by Deputy Collector Ansir Anees while talking with Customs Today that, during above said period, the ASO Islamabad took into possession two offending Mazda trucks with registration No: AKS-14-235 and LES-1166. The seized smuggling goods comprise 139 digital receivers, 19 KU Bands Twin, 100 2-way splitters, 200 kilogram of Vanillin 100% polar bear brands, 40 tyres of steel belted radial/Dunlop tubes.
Telling further about the details, Deputy Collector told CT that the ASO Islamabad confiscated, during 12th to 18th of August FY17-18, smuggling goods including 3,780 kg of ladies polyester cloth, 788 kg of ladies cotton cloth, 688 kg of different ladies cloth, 600 kg Jali foreign origin fabric, 07 printers, 02 AC auto solution complete set Mehran, 82 element air filters, 160 kg Hub with chimta, 500 kg black tea, 104 kg alloy rim, 5,477 kg cumin, 1200 kg almond, 30 dozens 32mm, 75 dozens 50mm and 80 dozens 36 mm pad lock, 500 kg of black tea.
Deputy Collector told CT that the smuggling goods seized during said period were estimated worth Rs5.511million while the impounded offending vehicles were estimated at Rs2.00million.
