ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) staff of Customs station Torkham seized Pakistani currency notes worth Rs4.3million from two Pakistani passengers at the departure and scanning hall during a body search.
According to details told by sources of Torkham Customs Station that ASO staff on Torkham border was doing its routine checking of luggage. The staff found two passengers having Pakistani currency notes.
The staff intercepted both of them. The body search resulted in recovery of Rs1.5million currency notes from one Khalil Shah, a resident of Abbottabad. Similarly, through a search of another passenger Roohullah R/o Peshawar resulted in recovery of Pakistani currency notes of Rs2.8million.
Both accused have been arrested and FIRs been lodged at the Customs House Peshawar.
The team which took part in the seizure of currency notes was led by Superintendent Naeem and other supporting staff of the Pakistan Customs deputed on Torkham border.
