KATHMANDU: Two persons from Nepal were arrested and four kg of charas worth Rs 4 lakh in the international market was seized from them here, a Shasastra Seema Bal (SSB) official said today.
Acting on a tip-off, Narayan Chetry and Laxman Shah, both hailing from Naval Parashi district in Nepal, were intercepted last night and four kg charas was seized from their possession, SSB Commandant BK Bankhothi said.
Another member of the gang managed to escape and hunt was on to to nab him, the Commandant said adding the contraband was worth Rs 4 lakh in the international market. The accused have been booked under Narcotics, Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act, the Commandant added.
