Two women sentenced to two year imprisonment over drug smuggling

LAHORE: An anti-narcotics court has sentenced two years imprisonment to two women involved in smuggling of drugs in Lahore.

Amina and Shakila were arrested by the force in 2014 when they were smuggling drugs into Lahore to sell near Band Road Sagian area of Lahore. The ANF had recovered 4.8 kg charas from the suspected women.

After arresting, the ANF presented them before special court and got physical remand for interrogation. After the physical remand, court had sent them of judicial remand until the final decision. Now both accused have confessed to their crime before special court.

After confession, the court has sentenced them to two year imprisonment and Rs 20,000 fine.
