U.S. Ambassador to address Oakville Chamber’s 61st Annual dinner on 1st Oct

WASHINGTON: The Oakville Chamber of Commerce has announced that U.S. Ambassador, Bruce Heyman, will be the keynote speaker for the 61st Annual Chair’s Dinner on, Oct. 1 at the Oakville Conference Centre.The event, which will recognize the contribution and leadership of current Chamber Chair, Kerry Colborne, begins with networking at 5 p.m. and continues with a gala dinner at 6 p.m.The evening will also see the introduction of the Chamber’s new chair and board of directors.

“We were delighted when Mr. Heyman accepted our invitation to speak about business relations between U.S. and Canada at the Chair’s Dinner,” said Colborne.“Strong relations between the U.S. and Canada are of vital significance to many of our members and Oakville businesses in general. There’s no doubt that Mr. Heyman’s address will be enlightening to all of us.”

Heyman presented his letter of credence to the Governor General of Canada on April 8, 2014, after being sworn in on March 26 as President Barack Obama’s personal representative to Canada. He is a 33-year veteran of Goldman Sachs, where he served as a regional managing director of the Midwest private wealth management group, which covers 13 states and half of Canada, from 1999 until December 2013.
