Punjab govt allocates Rs 283 million to upgrade industrial areas in Sialkot, Gujranwala

SIALKOT: Punjab government has allocated a chunk of Rs 283 million for the early up-gradation of the local industrial areas in Sialkot and Gujranwala under a multi-phased development project.

According to the senior government officials , the local industrialists in the  above-mentioned industrial areas had been lying deprived of  all the basic facilities despite depositing the taxes of billions of rupees annually, as there was no proper road infrastructure, dilapidated road and the clogged sewerage systems were badly halting the pace of local trade, business and industrial activities in the pointed out industrial areas of both neighboring Sialkot and Gujranwala cities  since long.

This nasty situation had perturbed the local traders and industrialists a lot, in this regard.

This nasty situation was still prevailing in Small Industrial Estate No. 1 Sialkot, Small Industrial Estate No. 2 Sialkot and Small Industrial Estate No. 1 Gujranwala.

The senior officials added that now the Punjab government would soon established an improved roads infrastructure, besides, laying the new sewerage pipelines, drains and also establishing security gates at all the ways in and out of the said small industrial estates.

The concerned officials have also issued the notices to all the encroachers to remove their all the encroachments from the said small industrial estates, in this regard.

The officials added that the Punjab government was committed to upgrade the small industrial estates for providing maximum trade relate incentives to the local industrialists, enabling them to struggle hard with full devotion, dedication and complete peace of mind for the strengthening the industrial sector and establishing a strong industrial base.
