THIBODAUX: A Texas airplane pilot arrested after state troopers and Homeland Security agents found $468,000 worth of cocaine in his luggage, State Police said.
John Crow, 29, of Brownsville, is charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and transactions involving drug proceeds, Trooper First Class Evan Harrell said. He was booked into the Terrebonne Parish jail.
Harrell said the State Police Bureau of Investigations, Homeland Security Investigations, Customs and Border Protection, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office and Thibodaux Police Department made contact with the plane, which was flying from Brownsville to the Thibodaux Municipal Airport.
The troopers and agents spoke with Crow after the airplane landed, and he appeared nervous but consented to a search of the plane, Harrell said. Police seized 15.6 kilograms of cocaine and $2,090 in cash, along with the plane.
