ISLAMABAD: The United States of America on Thursday apologized to Pakistan for decrease duties on additional products.
According to sources, Pakistan demanded the US to further decrease duties under GSP but Washington apologized for decreasing duties on additional products.
Sources further said that the US has advised Pakistan to trade with Afghanistan for additional products. The PTI government had raised the issue during a recent visit of the US Trade Minister.
The US trade minister said that Washington had granted 5,000 discount tariff lines to Afghanistan due to a under-developed country but Pakistan doesn’t come in the list of under-developed countries.
