Variation in KSE trading continues till midday

KARACHI: The variation in trading continued till midday on Friday in the Karachi Stock Exchange, however, 100-index remained green zone by adding 18.40 points and reached 35748.41 points level.

The stock recorded highest trading level of 35824.85 points and lowest trading level of 35678.12 points, with the total volume of 60,187,500 shares, having Rs4,064,337,434 value.

Earlier, the KSE witnessed fluctuation in trading and recorded both negative and positive sides in a very short time. However, KSE benchmark 100-index gained 11.13 points and reached 35741 points level, with the total volume of 17,622,950 shares on the start of last trading day.

On Thursday, nervy investors dumped stocks after the benchmark-100 index moved over the 35,900-point level with the graph taking a nosedive within a few minutes mid-day. The fall continued before attractive valuations helped the eager ones accumulate to eventually help the index close in the green. However, the index ended at 35,730.01 points, increasing 0.15% or 53.51 points. Shares of 365 companies were traded on Thursday. Of these, 126 companies closed higher, 225 fell and 14 remained unchanged.
