Vodafone will launch 4G services in Kolkata by end of 2015

MUMBAI: Telecom service provider Vodafone India on Wednesday announced it will launch its 4G services in Kolkata by the end of 2015.

The company, in a statement, said key business corridors will be part of the first wave of the 4G roll-out, which will be launched across the circle in a phased manner.

Kolkata with 25 per cent of data revenues is one of the top data markets for the company and is growing at more than 50 per cent year on year.

In the first six months of the current financial year, Vodafone has already rolled out over 250 sites and invested over Rs.96 crore in Kolkata.

Earlier, Airtel had announced it would provide 4G services in Kolkata.
