Wafaqi Muhtsib to facilitate overseas Pakistanis for investing in Pakistan‏

ISLAMABAD: Secretariat of Federal Ombudsman (Wafaqi Muhtsib) has planned to introduce schemes to attract sound investments from overseas Pakistanis by providing them guiding facilities with the cooperation of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and concerned ministries.

Document available with Customs Today stated that Wafaqi Muhtsib had been working over variety of schemes to facilitate overseas Pakistanis at airports.

The documents state: “Schemes should be introduced to attract trouble free and sound investments from overseas Pakistanis, particularly those not requiring personal supervision or returns of overseas Pakistanis.”

Officials at Federal Ombudsman Secretariat said that FO office was working for the schemes as well as taking institutions concerned into loop for drawing successful schemes.

They said that Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce and their subsidiary departments, like FBR had been approached for finalizing schemes to attract investment and ensure building trust among overseas Pakistanis for investing in Pakistan.
