Warming, deforestation hit Pakistan’s environment: Mushahid

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Climatic Change, Mushahid Ullah Khan said that climatic changes and deforestation had badly hit the environment of Pakistan.

“Metro bus service is not creating any problem for environment of the federal capital, “ he stated while talking to a private news channel. “These are the threats like global warming and deforestation.”

He called for protecting the environment and promote forestation in this area to avoid high intensity of heat, he said. “Pakistan is facing huge losses due to deforestation. It has aggravated our weather condition.”

To a question, he said that Pakistan had discussed all outstanding issues including Kashmir with India.

He said that present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is taking all important steps to streamline the system.

Senator said that Pakistan is focusing on improving the relations with India for resolving all important issues including Kashmir.
