Wärtsilä generates order worth €120 million

HELISINKI: The value of the equipment delivery agreement for the Finnish engineering company is approximately €120 million. The order comprises Wärtsilä 50 platform gensets and auxiliary equipment.

First launched in early 2000, the pioneering Wärtsilä 50 engine platform can operate on dual fuel, gas and liquid fuel versions, combining high efficiency output with low emissions. Some 700 Wärtsilä 50 engines have been sold to the marine sector in the interim, along with 300 for energy sector applications.
