Wazir to educate LTU officials on new tax laws today

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Inland Revenue-Policy (IR) Member Rehmatullah Khan Wazir today will aware the tax officials of Islamabad Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU) on new tax laws, amendments to finance bill and new strategies.

As per details, the member will visit Islamabad LTU today where he will address to a workshop that has been organised regarding tax vision and Budget 2016-17.

LTU chief commissioner, Regional Tax Office (RTO) chief commissioner, additional commissioners, assistant commissioners, IR officers and others will attend the workshop. The purpose of the workshop is to educate the officials regarding implementation of policy measures outlined in Budget 2016-17, strategies and new legal points.

Earlier, Member Wazir visited Lahore and Karachi to educate the tax officials regarding latest changes in detail.

Talking to Customs Today, Wazir informed that it was essential to bring awareness among the officials and business community on changes in finance bill of new fiscal year in order to make decision in the light of new policy.

Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Abdul Rauf Alam, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Atif Akram Sheikh and other members will also attend the workshop.

The speakers will also throw light on new property rates in Islamabad and reasons to bring changes in the tax laws. The member will also visit Islamabad RTO to educate the officials.
