ISLAMABAD: The World Bank will financially support Pakistan to carry out water supply schemes in the twin cities.
Source said that Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has urged the Sindh chief minister to allow the federal government use water quota from the River Indus to solve water issues in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
According to the officials, the Capital Development Authority will be entrusted to undertake work on the water projects if things go as planned. The sources said that federal and Punjab governments have also agreed to finance the water projects.
