ISLAMABAD: The WCO trainers provided training to BS-17-18 officers of Pakistan Customs Service and Pakistan Revenue Automation (Pvt) Limited about National Customs Enforcement Network System developed by WCO.
The Directorate of Training & Research (Customs), Islamabad in collaboration with the World Customs Organization (WCO) organized a “Ten-Day Train-The-Trainers nCEN Training Workshop” for the officers BS-17 to BS-18 of Pakistan Customs Service and Pakistan Revenue Automation (Pvt) Limited (PRAL). WCO trainers Agnieszka Butrym Bielatko from Republic of Poland and Giorgi Kvaratskhelia from Georgia conducted this 10 days training workshop.
Azmat Tahira, Director, Directorate of Training and Research (Customs), Islamabad welcomed the guest Speakers and the participants and highlighted the importance of subject workshop.
The main purpose of the Workshop was to apprise participants about National Customs Enforcement Network System developed by the World Customs Organization (WCO) to assist Customs Administration in the collection, storage and exchange of enforcement related information at the national level.
It is composed of a database of Customs seizures and offences, a database where information on suspected persons, means of transport & concealment, and of offending business entities can be stored.
This system not only facilitates communication within the Customs administration and but also with global nCEN database.
At the end of the workshop, certificates of participation amongst the participants as well as shields to the guest speakers as token of appreciation, were awarded.
