WeBOC IDs issued to 96 customs agents: Deputy Director Fazal Dad

KARACHI: Transit Trade Deputy Director Fazal Dad Chaudhry has said that his department has already issued WeBOC IDs to 96 customs clearing agents who have submitted their goods declarations with regard to Afghan Transit Trade, and they have started working by using these IDs.

Talking to Customs Today, Fazal Dad Chaudhry said that we are trying our best to facilitate Afghan Transit Trade and we are getting positive results of our efforts in this regard. He said that to avoid any unlawful activity, we used trackers throughout the route.

Responding to a question, he said that we received information that some clearing and forwarding agents were working on signatures and using others’ IDs, so we decided to work on this system.

He advised the clearing agents not to tell their IDs to others to avoid any untoward incident. He said that because we are working on automation so this step is necessary to avoid any problem.
