CALIFORNIA: WhatsApp Android app has undergone a complete makeover. The new version sports a material design with several changes. The new design gives a refreshing look to one of the most used chat platform. Starting from the layout, the new design pays attention to minute details which makes the app look good.
The top area neatly integrates calls, chats and contacts tabs along with search, message and option in green colour. The display pictures are now rounded. It is enlarged and appears similar to Facebook profile page. On rotating the display, the profile picture is further enlarged to occupy almost half the screen. Attachment section features bigger and good looking rounded icons.
Overall, WhatsApp for Android looks cool and is a much welcome change. While the OTA update might take some time, users can download version 2.12.44 and install the APK file.
