DOHA: Qatar Fuel (Woqod) reported a net profit of QR242.7m for the first quarter (Q1) ended March 31, 2016, up 3 percent compared to the same period last year.
The Company yesterday held its meeting to approve the financial results of the Q12016 presided over by Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani, the Chairman of the Board of Directors. The Board also examined current and future projects and other related issues and gave its directives.
Earning per share (EPS) amounted to QR2.66 as compared to QR2.60 for last year. It is worth mentioning that investment portfolio, real estate and other business activities have contributed to the net profit which Woqod recorded during this period.
Ibrahim Jaham Al Kuwari, Chief Executive Officer of Woqod, said that the Company is currently involved in the implementation of more than 38 new projects under construction, tendering, designing and approval stages.
