ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has allowed zero-percent sales tax on import of 150 tons of dates gifted by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Pakistan government.
The tax free dates have been formally handed over on Thursday by Abdul Rahman Saad AlTwaim and Raid Abdullah H. AlGhamdi, representatives of the Saudi Arabia to Cabinet Division, Islamabad. Senior officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cabinet Division were also present.
On behalf of the Government of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Cabinet Division expressed sincere thanks and gratitude for this kind gesture on the part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
