CHINA: Shanghai-based crane manufacturer, ZPMC has contracted Wenzhou Port Group for the supply of four bulk handling units to the Chinese port. After which Wenzhou Port Group has ordered four bulk handling units for Leqing berths.
The contract, at a value of 128 million yuan, will see ZPMC provide bulk handling equipment for the first phase of the Leqing development in Wenzhou.
The equipment, aimed at boosting the port’s handling capacity, is scheduled for delivery.
Phase one of Wenzhou Port’s Leqing development involves the build of two 50,000 tonnage multi-purpose berths, designed for an annual handling capacity of around 3.8 million tones, will be used for the handling of coal, iron ore, containers and break-bulk cargo.
