MULTAN: The Multan Tax Bar Association President A Moeed Khawaja, after meeting with Inland Revenue Operations (IR-Ops) member of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), has said that FBR should improve its newly implemented system ‘IRIS’ to facilitate the tax payers as they have been facing problems while using new software.
Talking exclusively with Customs Today after the meeting, he said that the operations member FBR Dr Irshad Ahamd listened to our issues regarding the new system IRIS and assured us that they would be resolved very soon.
He appreciated the efforts of FBR regarding updating of ATL (Active Taxpayer List) on weekly basis. He said that the 70 percent taxes has been collecting by the assistance of tax lawyers so the role of lawyers could never be deleted at any cost.
‘The direct taxation through RTO has been creating problems for the tax payers so at the end, the clients contact us and he realizes that through a lawyer the process of taxation could be more convenient’ he stated.
The MTBA members including Younis Ghazi and Imran Ghazi were also present in the meeting.
