SAN YSIDRO: San Diego Sector Border Patrol agents arrested two men near the San Ysidro Port of Entry who had nearly $450,000 in methamphetamine in their vehicles.
At approximately 11 a.m., a man was observed running north in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the San Ysidro Port of Entry. A Border Patrol agent responded to the scene and located a man matching the description in a nearby parking lot off of Camino De La Plaza. The man was speaking with a second man near a Ford Focus sedan when the agent approached. The man was identified as a 22-year-old Mexican national and his companion was a 32-year-old U.S citizen.
