Sialkot excise impounds 31 non-duty paid vehicles in crackdown

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department has impounded 31 vehicles during a crackdown against defaulters.

Sources informed Customs Today that a team of Excise and Taxation Department comprising inspectors Malik Akram Awan, Chaudhary Shabbir and other staff members intercepted a large number of vehicles on GT Road, Head Marala, Narowal and Lahore Roads.

During the checking process, the team impounded 31 vehicles which were plying on roads without token fees and payment of customs duty. Excise and Taxation District Officer Muzzaffar Qayyum said that all the vehicles will be released after their owners will clear pending dues. All the seized vehicles have already been shifted to the police stations concerned by the Excise and Taxation Department.
