The Faisalabad Customs has issued rebates to the textile sector on garments, chemical companies, and other big and small business firms, he said, adding that the exporters of small medium enterprises will take benefit from this process of rebate refund. The business community has appreciated the settling of rebate claims.

He said pending refund claims will also be cleared soon. He said some cases of last five years i.e. 2011-15 were pending which will be decided soon by the Collector Zulfiqar and rebates will be paid to the exporters concerned.

The rebate branch under the supervision of Superintendent Muhammad Mukhtar was playing its due role efficiently, he said, adding that the process of traders’ applications was finalised within three weeks.

He revealed that the rebate branch paid Rs 21.203 million in February, 2016, Rs 106.283 million in March, Rs 69.07 million in April and Rs 49.816 million in May to the exporters and traders.
