Therefore, revenue targets of all collectorates falling in the jurisdiction of Appraisement south for last quarter of the fiscal year have been revised.

The customs duty collection target of MCC Appraisement East is increased by 19.1 percent to Rs47.338 billion from earlier defined target of Rs39.78 billion for the quarter ending June 30, 2017. The FED collection target of MCC Appraisement East is increased by 0.95 percent to Rs419 million from earlier defined target of Rs415 million for the quarter ending June 30, 2017.

The FED collection target of MCC Appraisement West is decreased by 0.95 percent to Rs419 million from earlier defined target of Rs415 million for the quarter ending June 30, 2017.

The customs duty collection target of MCC Port Qasim is increased by 5.1 percent to Rs41.33 billion from earlier defined target of Rs39.369 billion for the quarter ending June 30, 2017. The sales tax collection target of MCC Port Qasim is increased by 4.9 percent to Rs70.461 billion from earlier defined target of Rs67.10 billion for the quarter ending June 30, 2017. The FED collection target of MCC Port Qasim is maintained  at Rs905 million.

The entire customs machinery would start collecting revenue in advance to meet targets and the last quarter of the fiscal year is very sensitive, Customs would have its eyes fixed on fast clearing of consignments and collecting revenue leaving room for frauds.
