Appraisement West allows shifting of consignment from KICT to CPF Bond

KARACHI: Customs Collectorate Appraisement West has allowed shifting of consignments from the Karachi International Container Terminal (KICT) to CPF Bond.

According to details, the Deputy Collector, Appraisement West, Group-V has forwarded a letter to the Deputy Collector, Assistant Collector, Examination KICT, informing about the current status and the orders of the Sindh High Court about the shifting of containers.

“It is informed that the Honourable Court has allowed shifting of impugned consignments to CPF Bond. Permission for shifting to CPF Bond has already been extended by Collector of Customs, Appraisement-West. Since the matter is of utmost importance and court’s orders are required to be implemented in letter and spirit, therefore, you are requested to facilitate shifting of these held up containers to CPF Bond on the basis of computer printout of GD.

It may be ensured that the consignments are gate out from KICT and shifted to CPF Bond in compliance of the Honourable Sindh High Court’s orders dated 22.01.2016 under proper escort as per prescribed procedure, the letter added..

The representative of importers/clearing agents have been instructed to approach the concerned officers/officials for completion of all formalities, it concluded..
