ASO Jacobabad seizes three boxes of mobile accessories in last week of July

HYDERABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Jacobabad confiscated three smuggled boxes of mobile accessories worth Rs350200 lakh duty/taxes during an action in Jacobabad during the last week of July 2017.

Following a tip-off received by Collector Akhlaq Ahmad Khattaq, the ASO team conducted a raid on Sukkur-Jacobabad to foil a smuggling bid.

Under the supervision of Additional Collector Rehmatulah Vistro, ASO team, comprising In-charge Aziz Katpar, Inspector Nasrullah Gilal, Inspector Ayaz Ali Shah, Inspector Raiy Abr, Sepoys Shabbir Ahmed Thebo, Iqbal Sheikh, Havaldar Mehram Ali and Driver Manzoor Shori, carried out a thorough search operation and recovered the abovementioned non-duty-paid mobile accessories being smuggled into Pakistan from Quetta.

The ASO lodged separate cases of smuggling against the accused and sent them to customs adjudication.

After a seizure report, the ASO team deposited the confiscated items into Sukkur State Warehouse.

Talking with Customs Today, Customs Additional Collector Rehmatullah Vistro said the Hyderabad Customs showed excellent performance regarding the anti-smugglings during said period.

Officials said all possible measures will be taken to curb smugglings in the region as vigilance has also been enhanced.
