CHS vows relief efforts till IDPs back at home

LAHORE: Customs Health Society (CHS) President Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah assured that relief efforts for IDPs will continue until every IDP back at home at North Waziristan.
He mentioned that the CHS has also dug out Thirty five (35) water wells in Tharparkar area of Sindh for provision of clean drinking water to more than 50,000 people of the area.
He told Customs Today that “We also enhanced our efforts to provide goods and services to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan Agency (NWA) for their relief”.
Mr. Jah said that efforts were being made to provide maximum relief to the IDPs of NWA as a mobile clinic comprising six doctors along with two trucks of relief good have already been dispatched to Bannu.
Dr. Jah said that society so far donated Rs7 million for the relief goods for IDPs of Bannu and 30,000 patients had also been provided with free medical treatment.
He said that solar fans, mosquito’s nets, tents and ration had also been sent to Bannu for IDPs and the efforts will be continued for IDPs till their return to homes in NWA.
