Customs Court sends suspect to jail on judicial remand

LAHORE: The Special federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has approved judicial remand of Gull Muhammad in a smuggling case.

According to details, Gull Muhammad was booked by the Excise officials when he was trying to present fake documents in Excise Motor Branch at Fareed Court House Lahore.

Motor Branch officials found his documents suspicions, after confirmation they found that all purchasing documents and customs clearance certificates presented in office were bogus. The Excise team arrested him and him handed over him to Customs authorities. Three vehicles were recovered from his possession worth millions of rupees.

Now Customs Court approved judicial remand of accused and send him to jail for further trial.
