KARACHI: Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh, the chairman of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, has said that there is a need to improve the performance of the Pakistan Customs.
Addressing the participants of the meeting, the chairman called for controlling the smuggling of live birds, Iranian diesel, clothes, tyres and electronic goods. He said that the Pakistan Customs should improve its system in order to control smuggling and tax theft.
MNAs Saeed Minais, Mian Abdul Mannan, Rasheed Godel, Amir Umar Malik and Asad Umar, Chief Collector Appraisement Nasir Masroor Khan, Chief Collector Enforcement Muhammad Zahid Khokar were also present in the meeting.
