Customs seizes four non-customs paid cars

LAHORE: The Customs Intelligence and Investigations has traced a network dealing in non-customs paid illegally imported cars, sources told Customs Today here on Friday. The sources said that the directorate also seized four illegally imported cars worth millions of rupees.

The sources said that Customs, in a series of operations against non-customs paid vehicles, seized four Mark-X cars worth Rs 10 million. The cars were impounded by Anti-Smuggling Organization of Customs Intelligence and Investigations  from Defence and other areas.

It was also said that these cars were being run on city roads by using fake number plates. The sources further said that Mark-X BZ/ 863 was being run on  Mehran car’s number in Defence area.

The sources said that Customs Intelligence and Investigation discovered that there is a network undertaking the illegal import of the cars and started investigation registering cases.
