LAHORE: Customs Lahore and Karachi teams Friday raided in Gulberg area to arrest owners of M/ s Haseeb Rafiq Construction Company. The owners are found involved in tax evasion amounting to million of rupees.
As per sources, the company was raided due to the reason that the company owners imported steel sheet and evaded customs duty. Their act caused a loss of Rs 17 million to national kitty.
The sources said the owners presented cheaques against the payable amount but they became bounce as the balance sheet of the company shows less amount.
The sources said that the company had imported the sheet in 2013 but failed to clear customs duty according to law.
