DUBAI: Dubai Customs signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority (MFZA) on behalf of Dubai Design District (d3) to establish a framework of proms which will create efficient custom-related processes at the design community that will be launched soon..
The MoU was signed at Dubai Customs headquarters by Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, and Ahmad bin Bayat, Director-General of MFZA.
The Dubai Design District has a significant retail element and has been designed to attract consumers to shop on site, and Dubai Customs plays a significant part in helping d3 achieve its growth ambitions through the effective management of imported and exported goods, and ensuring the efficiency of the customs process.
The MoU serves to solidify synergies between both Dubai Customs and d3 to ensure use of the most effective use of customs technologies at the site and will have Dubai Customs set-up a permanent presence at d3 in due course, to service all immediate enquiries to customers to interact with all relevant government services, making the process of setting up and operating at d3 simple and efficient.
Commenting on the agreement, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih said, “We are proud of the strategic partnership with MFZA. In pursuance of the vision of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, towards driving the UAE to lead in all areas, Dubai Customs pays utmost attention to supporting pioneering projects launched by Dubai.”
