Faisalabad ASO seizes smuggled items worth Rs 399812 in 3rd week of Jan

FAISALABAD: The Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Faisalabad conducted various operations against smugglers and reovered miscleanous goods worth Rs 399812 during third week of January ( 15-1-16 to 21-1-16 ).

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Collector Muhammad Falik Shair different ASO team to curb smuggling. The ASO team compring Muhammad Javed Mehmood (superintendent), Sardar Muhammad (deputy superintendent), Masood Saeed Chohan, Abdul Jabbar (inspector), Muhammad Ashraf, Liaquat Ali , Israr Ahmad and Muhammad Abdullah (sepoys).

These team seized smuggled cloth 350 kgs worth Rs 185500 different type cigarettes 8500 (dandas) made in India worth Rs 146112, zafrani pati worth Rs 68200. All these items were brought into country without payment of custom duty and taxes.

Faisalabad aso seized items with section contravened of import and export control act 1950 punishable under section 156(1)89(i) 90 of the custom act 1969.
