Faisalabad Customs generates Rs2.86m through auction

FAISALABAD: The model Customs Collectorate has generated Rs2.863 million from two auction of impounded vehicles and miscellaneous goods.

According to details, Customs office has conducted auction of confiscated vehicles and smuggled items. These items were seized in the jurisdiction of Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) of Faisalabad, jhang, Mainwali, Sara-E-Muhajir, and Sargodha City.

Customs has offered various foreign origin vehicles including Toyota Hilux Surf, Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Toyota Crown, Mitsubishi Pajero, Land Cruiser, Toyota Vitz and others in different model and design. The impounded vehicles were attracting all bidders during auction process.

Model Customs Collectorate successfully sold 4 vehicles out of presented 14 vehicles worth Rs2.48 million during the auction. In addition to impounded vehicles were sold Mitsubishi Lancer Car Worth Rs440,000  Toyota Corrola worth Rs 520,000 Honda Civic worth Rs36,5000 and Toyta Corolla X Car worth Rs11,55000.

Fsaisalabad Customs also offered almost 75 lots of auto spare parts, vehicles, aluminium sheets, cloth, tyres, cigarettes, batteries and other goods in auction process. During the auction process, Customs sold only four miscellaneous items were successfully auctioned valuing Rs383,000.

The participants also rejected various goods that will be presented again in next auction after the revision of prices. The auction was held through open bidding where everyone was given opportunity for the bidding of confiscated goods.

Deputy Collector Rana Falik Shair supervised the auction process to ensure transparency along with Superintendent Muhammad Javed, UDC Khadim Hussain and Muhammad Boota carried out the auction process for the public sale of vehicles and confiscated goods.
