FAISALABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed the Regional Tax offices (RTOs) to start crackdown against the companies which are availing zero-rating sales tax on gas but supplying gas to other textile units by evading taxes.
Officials said that the department has recently finished the zero rating facility for a company after finding it involved in tax evasion. Now, the RTO chief commissioner has directed officials to recover evaded tax from the said company.
They added that strict actions will be taken against the companies those are misusing the facilities being offered by the FBR. The officials said that a list of defaulters will be sent to the Board after making it complete.
