LAHORE: The FBR is likely to declare national identification card number (NICN) as national tax number (NTN) in the coming budget, it is learnt.
According to official sources, at least 3.5 million citizens have national tax numbers and the FBR plans to increase this number to 90 million.
This declaration can help common citizens pay their income tax easily without facing the complex process, and this step can increase revenue of the FBR in the coming years.
