FBR, WB discuss tax system of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan and World Bank Representative Micheal Best discussed the matters related to tax system of Pakistan, tax net and tax evasion here in a meeting.

The WB representative met FBR chairman at FBR headquarters, where Chairman Nisar briefed him about tax culture in Pakistan with details.

Nisar informed him that strategy has been designed to strengthen the tax system in the country, adding that actions of putting the plan into action were also being taken.

To curb the tax evasion, besides enforcing the tax laws, a monitoring system was being adopted; he said, adding that increase in revenue collection showed FBR’s sincere commitment to its work.

On the other hand, the WB representative hoped that FBR will utilise all its resources to make the tax systems perfect. He will also meet to members of FBR.
