Four Customs inspectors posted as duty officers at HQs

ISLAMABAD:  The Customs Collectorate has reshuffled four inspectors and posted them as “duty officers” at Customs Collectorate (HQ) office.

According to notification no. 01(01)/ADM/2018 issued by Assistant Collector (HQ) Saiqa Abbas, Inspector Syed Arshad Shah of Airport (Traffic), Inspector Muhammad Khursheed of Air Fright Unit (Export), Inspector Munir Afzal of Islamabad Dry Port and Inspector Syed Muhammad Ali of Preventive Division have been ordered to perform their duty at Customs Collectorate (HQ) as “duty officer” in their proper uniform.

Assistant Collector Saiqa Abbas also directed the duty officers to strictly comply with the order and should be available in any emergency situation on call in the premises of Customs House Islamabad.

Meanwhile, no leave will be allowed to anyone during his duty hours. The assistant collector also directed the duty officers not to switch off their cell phone during their duty hours.

The assistant collector advised that in case, the above-mentioned duty officers are assigned special assignment, the officer in-charge is responsible to provide substitute from their available strength, the notification further reads.
