Islamabad: Federal Tax Ombudsman has declared the action taken against the Gujranwala Tiles Industry companies by Directorate General Intelligence and Investigation Inland Revenue as true and right.
According to sources, Gujranwala Tiles and Sramix group of Industry has challenged the authority and power of investigation of Directorate Intelligence and Investigation Inland Revenue in the Federal Tax Ombudsman.
Sources added that the FTO announced order in the favour of Directorate I and I IR and said that the department has the authority and power to start investigation and conduct enquiry.
Sources added that directorate I&I has started investigation against the Gujranwala tiles group of industries in tax evasion and bogus banks accounts. While company also submitted tax returns in the back date as well.
