Gwadar Customs seizes huge quantity of hashish worth Rs7m on Tuesday

GWADAR: The Customs Collectorate Gwadar seized huge quantity of hashish worth Rs 7 million on Tuesday morning.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Collector Gwadar Junaid Mehmood received secret information that some smugglers are trying to smuggle drugs and other things from Gwadar to Karachi.

After receiving this information, he constituted a raiding team under the supervision of Customs Preventive Inspector Sumair Ali, Abdul Salam and others. The team, during a search operation near Masroor Shaheed Check Post, intercepted a truck bearing registration No HG.9036.

During a search, the team impounded 200 bottles of wines and 20 kilograms of international quality hashish valued at Rs 7 million including truck used in smuggling.

The team seized all the smuggled items and arrested tt smugglers including truck driver, who were later identified Jamshed Basheer. According to the sources Customs team will be register case against smugglers after investigation.
