GWADAR: Collectorate of Customs team seized huge quantity of Iranian diesel worth Rs3 million including vehicle being used for smuggling.
Sources told Customs Today on 7th February 2019, Deputy Collector Junaid Mehmood received secret information that some smugglers are trying to smuggle Iranian diesel from Gwadar to Karachi.
After receiving this information, he constituted a raiding team under the supervision of Customs Preventive Inspector Rana Nawaz, Sultan Qaimkhani and others. The team during a search operation on highway intercepted a vehicle bearing registration no GBD-2275.
During the search, the team impounded 22000 liters Irani Diesel valued at Rs3 million including truck being used in smuggling.
The team seized all smuggled Iranian diesel and arrested 2 smugglers. Sources told that customs officials after registering a case started investigations from the accused persons.
