Gwadar Customs seizes Iranian juices worth Rs6.50m during operation

GWADAR: Collectorate of Customs team seized huge quantity of Iranian juices (Tin pack) worth Rs6.50 million including vehicle being used for smuggling.

Sources told Customs Today on 29th December that Deputy Collector Junaid Mehmood received secret information that some smugglers are trying to smuggle Iranian juices from Gwadar to Karachi.

After receiving this information, he constituted a raiding team under the supervision of Customs Preventive Inspector Ziaur Rehman and others. The team during a search operation on Highway Road intercepted a truck bearing registration no: GMG-9473.

During the search, the team impounded more than 5,000 packed Iranian juices worth Rs 6.50 million including truck being used in smuggling.

The team seized all Iranian juices and arrested the truck driver. Sources told that customs officials started investigations from the accused person after registering a case of smuggling.
