KARACHI: The Customs Gwadar has recovered 112 cartons of foreign origin juices and cigarettes during a crackdown.
Sources told Customs Today that customs authorities received secret information about smuggling attempts. After receiving tip-of they constituted a team. The customs team intercepted a vehicle on Warsak Road and recovered 112 cartons of foreign origin juices and cigarettes which were brought into the country without payment of customs duty.
The Customs team asked the suspects to produce any relevant document regarding the legal possession of the items but they failed to provide any documents. The Customs team arrested three persons and started investigations.
