Hyderabad Customs to hold auction on Oct 22

HYDERABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate will hold auction of smuggled confiscated goods items and vehicles on October 22, 2016 here at state warehouse.

Officials told Customs Today that the auction will be held under the supervision of Deputy Collector Nafees Ahmed Khan following the directions of Collector Agha Shahid Majeed and Additional Collector Rehmatullah Vistro.

As per details, the non-duty paid vehicles, including Toyota Hilux Surf 1996, Mercedes car without registration number, Toyota Land Cruiser Model 1990, Toyota Sera car without number, Toyota Hilux Surf Registration No BD-9459 Model 1997, unregistered Toyota Mark –X-50G Model 2005, unregistered Royal Saloon Crown Model 1996, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado No BD-3773 Model 1996, Toyota Hilux Surf Model 1994 and Toyota Diesel automatic Model 1994 will be presented for auction.

Other goods items, including 6240 kilogramme of art silk cloth, 39 carton of readymade T-shirts, 16 carton of Panasonic automatic electric iron made in Malaysia, 68 cartons of shampoo, 40 LCD TVs, 407 tyres, 81 polyester fabrics cloth and 2020kg lamination paper.

The officials said that revenue of millions of rupees was expected through this auction, adding that the process will be started at 11am. They further said that transparency will be maintained during the process, adding that only reasonable bids will be accepted against goods and vehicles, while low bids will be rejected on the spot. Initiating values for vehicles and goods have been set after conducting market survey.
